Additionally, the second category involves internal beliefs. These are the stories people tell themselves about their own ability to succeed. Thoughts such as “This works for others, but not for me” are often more powerful than price objections.
The third category is external beliefs, shaped by past failures, social influence, media narratives, or advice from friends and authority figures. Although these beliefs often go unspoken, they strongly influence buying behaviour.
Russell then outlines a practical framework for identifying these false beliefs by placing them into three columns, selecting the core belief in each category, and attaching an epiphany bridge story to dismantle it. By rewriting false beliefs into curiosity-driven secrets, resistance turns into attention and engagement.
