Eligibility Criteria


To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Must not have received a WVA/MSD Animal Health scholarship in the past.
  • Must be enrolled in the 2024-2025 academic year at a recognized veterinary school.
  • Must have completed all first-year exams.
  • Must be in their second or third year of study, or later years if the program exceeds four years.
  • Students in their first or last year of study are not eligible.
  • Must have a bank account in their name that can receive international funds through the SWIFT system.
  • Applications must be submitted in English, as submissions in other languages will not be accepted.

NOTE: If you were previously NSFAS or ISFAP funded during your undergraduate degree, please include proof of funding with the application documents. This can be in the form of a fee statement reflecting the NSFAS bursary or institutional letter from financial aid confirming NSFAS/ISFAP funding.
